Move In Day!
September the 14th marked a very iconic day, I moved into my first non student place! I am now living with my boyfriend Sean who I met at uni and have been with for almost 2 years.
We're renting a two bed terrace house in an area called The Welsh Streets which were old abandoned house that have now been renovated. It also our first unfurnished place which is a bit scary but when we came to view the place we fell in love with it and thought we'll have to start buying our own furniture eventually, why not start now? So we began by getting the essentials with massive help from our parents and hand me downs from friends and family and as and when we can we'll buy more things to make it more homey! Although its though its really nice starting with a blank canvas and being able to choose what goes into your house rather than having to deal with that ugly cabinet that the landlord but in. As we start to get more stuff in the house I'm sure I'll be doing a few blog posts on decor and what sort of style we decide to go with.
Its exciting living in a house after three years of student flats and we've settled in very quickly. We're also a bit further from town which is a massive change as well its not as easy to just pop out and grab something but I am really enjoying how much quieter it is. Also now when I do go into town its quite exciting compared to when you live in town you definitely take things for granted. It's super close to the Princes Park entrance to Sefton Park which is really lovely for walks and about a 15 minute walk from Lark Lane a street that is home to some of Liverpool's best independent restaurants, cafes and bars.
Despite only being here for a week we already feel very settled and comfortable in our new home and excited to see what the future brings!
